The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. But inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
