The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That will round things out when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
The complete breakdown, including regulation, withdrawals, pricing, and check here the bonus terms, is at Trade The Day.
